Jenevieve Butler

Senior Clinical Audiologist

Jenevieve Butler is a dual qualified Speech Language Therapist and Audiologist. She qualified from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 2008. Her areas of special interest include diagnostic audiology assessments for school-aged children and adults, patients with special needs, hearing aid rehabilitation and assistive listening technologies, hearing aid verifications (REMS), tinnitus intervention and management, custom ear protection, microsuction wax removal and vestibular balance disorders.

Jenevieve has worked in public and private audiology healthcare settings in South Africa before relocating to Dublin in 2012 to practice as a clinical Audiologist. She is the Company founder who established Midland Hearing Care in Longford, a private diagnostic audiology clinic in January 2019.

Jenevieve is a member of the Irish Academy of Audiology, (IAA), received fellowship for the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (FISHAA) and an associate member of British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA).  Jenevieve enjoys research and is currently continuing with her post-graduate qualifications.

Claire Coy

Practice Manager

Claire joined Midland Hearing Care in December 2020 and comes from a strong customer service background. Claire works closely with Clinical Audiologists Jenevieve and Megan, to deliver patient focused care.

When you telephone the clinic, Claire will ask you a few questions so that we can help you in the most appropriate way. She can help with a range of issues including scheduling appointments, hearing aid trouble-shooting & mini repairs, following up on requests, providing receipts and does invaluable general administration and technical work.

Claire looks after the clinic’s audiology consumable stock available to purchase ‘off the shelf’ from our Reception area or via our clinic’s e-store. Claire is meticulous and technically-minded, with her hands on approach she has assisted many of patients with mini repairs and quick technical support from pairing smart phone hearing aid app’s to hearing aid troubleshooting.

Megan Stirk

Clinical Audiologist

BA Speech and Hearing Therapy

M.I.S.H.A.A, M.I.A.A

Megan studied at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, where she obtained her BA in Speech Therapy and Audiology in 2014. She completed her clinical placement year in 2015 at Witbank Provincial Hospital and has been gathering clinical experience in both public and private practice ever since.  After completing a work placement at the Clinic in August 2023, Megan relocated with her family to Ireland in January 2024. She works closely with Clinical Audiologist, Jenevieve and Practice Manager, Claire to provide family-friendly and patient-focused care.

Megan’s passion lies in research and diagnostic assessments for children and adults. She enjoys developing solutions for complex audiology cases to help find a diagnosis and viable solutions to help improve hearing, communication and quality of life for patients.

Megan areas of special interest are: microsuction and irrigation wax removal, hearing aid rehabilitation, Real Ear Measurement (REM) verifications, tinnitus intervention and management as well as aural rehabilitation, including the selection of compatible hearing aid accessories and FM systems. Megan is a member of the Irish Academy of Audiologists (IAA) and the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (I.S.H.A.A).
