Midland Hearing Care provides a bespoke custom ear protection service for all patient requirements. Our Clinic is a provider of high quality Variphone Custom Ear Protection.

Custom ear protection

After ears have been examined and confirmed to be clear of wax – open mouth ear impressions made from medical grade silicon putty are taken of both ear canals to provide a 3D image of one’s unique ear canal shape and anatomy. These casts are sent to Variphone’s moulding laboratory in Belgium to process custom ear protection solutions . Turnaround time for custom products can vary from two to four weeks depending on the custom product required.

This service may be suitable for musician’s looking for custom in ear monitors (IEM’s) to protect their hearing, while experiencing outstanding sound quality while performing in studio or live on stage.

We offer bespoke custom communication solutions for professional television and sport broadcasters. Added to this service, we also offer bespoke custom hearing and communication custom solutions for military, police and firemen.

Our custom hearing protection solutions include: gun sport (passive & electronic filtered plugs), industrial noise, motor sport, music earplugs (passive filters), skydiving, moulded swimming plugs or for those who require a set of soft sleep plugs, to reduce noise for a good night’s rest.

For those who prefer a budget-friendly solution, the clinic has Serenity Choice™ hearing protection products available for purchase ‘off the shelf’. Phonak Serenity Choice™ is the high-end non-custom hearing protection solution from Phonak. These filtered plugs reduce noise and loud sounds, lets the ear breathe and keeps relevant sound and speech audible.
